WhatsApp status as part of your business marketing strategy

If you’re not using WhatsApp Status yet as part of your business marketing strategy, you are missing out.

WhatsApp Status is a beautiful little feature that allows you to connect with people without invading their privacy as it is completely up to the individual to choose whether they want to see your status update, or not!

WhatsApp Status is an update that disappears after 24 hours of you uploading it. You can share photos, videos, text etc. Same principle as Instagram and Facebook Stories. The only snag here is that by default, WhatsApp Status is only active between two users who have each other’s contact details saved in their respective address books. However, I personally do not see this as a problem at all. The majority of numbers in my address book is existing clients, previous clients, prospective clients, friends, family and other business owners I may have dealt with along the way. And these are people that already know me! Plus, you can also see exactly who your regular viewers are!

You can also post a link on your status? Here’s how.

When you’re in the Status section, you’ll see two icons: a camera and a pencil. – Tap on the pencil icon to share a text update or type in a link that will show up as clickable once done. – You can also change the font by tapping on the T icon at the top and even change the background colour by selecting the paint palette.

It’s never too late to start using this brilliant little tool including WhatsApp Status in your business marketing strategy.
